
Shelby Vintin won her singles match, 6-0, 6-2, against Pateros on Liberty Bell’s home court last week.
The Liberty Bell High School girls’ tennis team finished its regular season in a second-place tie with Lake Roosevelt after beating Pateros 5-0 but losing to league champion Tonasket 2-3 in play last week. The Lady Lions finished with a 7-3 record in league matches, 7-5 overall.
Meanwhile, the boys’ team lost 0-5 to both Pateros and Tonasket — also the boys’ league champion — to finish in fourth place with a 5-5 record (5-7 overall).

Girls’ singles: Ruthann Matteson won 6-0, 6-2; Shelby Vintin won 6-0, 6-2; Chloe Temple won 6-0, 6-1. Doubles: Larkin Lucy and Ellie Blank won by forfeit; Kristy Vieth and Amber Surface won 8-0.
Boys’ singles: Nicholas Fitzmaurice lost 6-7, 6-3, 3-7; Zane Grubb lost 0-8; Konnor Doran lost 1-8. Doubles: Tyler White and Isaac Blodgett lost 6-0, 4-6, 5-7; Cameron Taylor and Ezekiel Kirk lost, 4-8.
Tonasket, May 2

Ruthann Matteson, who represented Liberty Bell in the state tournament last year, was undefeated in singles play during the season.
The 1B/2B tournament was this week in Omak. Look for complete results in next week’s paper. The 1A/2B/1B tournament will be in Omak on May 15 and May 18.
