These are some of the works included in “20,000 Fathoms,” opening at the Spartan Art Project on April 12.

An art exhibit that is the senior project of Liberty Bell High School student Tyler White — “20,000 Fathoms” — opens April 12 at the Spartan Art Project on the TwispWorks campus. The event will be from 5 – 8 p.m.

White curated the show, which includes works by himself and other local artists including Carson Gunnip-Hunter, Danbert Nobacon, Dean Hussey, Joanne Marracci, Mia Libby, Neela Mitchell and Vern White.

“Even with the ever-increasing knowledge about our earth and our oceans, we still only know a fraction of what it holds,” White said in a statement about the exhibit, which continues through April 27. “We can only imagine what kind of weird, horrible creatures stir in the twilight depths. … I am asking artists to create pieces that show their vulnerabilities.”

The exhibit will be open Wednesday through Friday from 3:30 – 6 p.m., and Saturdays from noon – 5 p.m.
