Okanogan County is considering an application for a year-round nightly rental in Nordic Village, across from the Mazama Store.
Owners Brian and Debi Overby have applied for a conditional-use permit to use the new two-bedroom home as a nightly rental. The Mazama Starlight Nightly Rental could accommodate up to eight guests.
The 2,060-square-foot house is currently used by the owners as a vacation home. The house is supplied by a community well.
The Okanogan County hearing examiner is holding a public hearing on the conditional-use permit on Thursday, March 28, at 10 a.m. in the commissioners’ hearing room in Okanogan. People can provide verbal testimony at the hearing, or submit written comments to rrobbins@co.okanogan.wa.us.
