Regional wrestling meets canceled

February 8, 2019 by Methow Valley News

The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) has canceled all boys’ and girls’ regional wrestling tournaments because of threatening weather conditions, including the tournament scheduled for Saturday (Feb. 9) in Oroville. Four Liberty Bell boys qualified to compete in the regionals: freshman Cody White at 106 pounds, junior Jed McMillan at 120 pounds, freshman Noah Holston at 145 pounds, and sophomore Bodie Paul at 160 pounds. The WIAA said it will create 32-entry brackets for the Mat Classic state meet in Tacoma that begins on Feb. 15.
