Twisp’s clerk/treasurer, Jackie Moriarty, has left her job with the town for a position with TranGO, the regional public transportation company.
Twisp has hired an interim clerk to fill in while it advertises for the position, said Mayor Soo Ing-Moody. Suzanne Levis, former clerk/treasurer for the town of LaCenter for 14 years, is serving as interim clerk. Levis moved to the Methow Valley last summer, Ing-Moody said.
“We are fortunate to have found an experienced temporary interim clerk to assure the town meets all our obligational financial reporting requirements,” Ing-Moody said.
Moriarty served as clerk/treasurer about eight years. The town is currently advertising for the job and expects to review applications in early February, Ing-Moody said.
