The first baby born in 2019 at Three Rivers Hospital in Brewster was to Jacquelyn and Dr. James Wallace of Winthrop, whose son James Garrett Wallace was delivered on Jan. 9. He was 8 pounds, 7.5 ounces, and 20 inches long at birth. The surroundings were familiar for the parents: Dr. Wallace is a physician with Family Health Centers in Brewster and serves as chief of staff at Three Rivers Hospital. Garrett was delivered by Dr. Allison Fitzgerald, a Family Health Centers physician based in Twisp, and Sam Morrison, RN.
