The Methow Valley Biathlon Team kicked off its season with competition at the NorAm/Calforex Cup meet in Canmore, Alberta, on Dec. 1-2, with a host of top-10 performances. Individual results follow.
Saturday sprint race:
• Eli Nielsen, 10th in junior men’s division, 10K.
• Lazo Gitchos, 10th in youth men’s division, 7.5K
• Eva Weymuller, 4th in senior girls’ division, 6KM
• Greta Laesch, 7th in Dev 2 girls’ division, 3.75K
• Bella Fox, 8th in Dev 2 girls’ division, 3.75K
• Alex Tareski, 16th in Dev 2 boys’ division, 3.75K
Sunday pursuit race:
• Nielsen, 6th place, 12.5K
