Written request to lease must be received by December 24, 2018, at Department of Natural Resources, 225 S Silke Rd, Colville, Washington 99114-9369. Each request to lease must include the lease number, the name, address and phone number of applicant, and must contain a certified check or money order payable to the Department of Natural Resources for the amount of any bonus bid plus a $100.00 deposit. The envelope must be marked “Sealed Bid” and give lease number, expiration date of lease applied for and give applicant’s name. The applicant must be prepared to purchase improvements that belong to the current lessee. Notice is hereby given that the Town Council of the Town of Twisp, WA will be holding a 2019 preliminary budget public hearing. DECLARATION OF CANDIDACY NOTICE

Declaration of Candidacy Notice to file declaration of candidacy. Notice is hereby given that an election of the Wolf Creek Reclamation District will be held November 15, 2018 for the purpose of electing one (1) member in the board of directors for the term of three (3) years. Any legal district landowner interested in becoming a candidate must be sponsored by ten (10) qualified electors of the district whose signature appear on the petition which shows their intention of becoming a candidate for the position of director. Petition blanks may be obtained from the district secretary. These signed petitions must be filed with the secretary of said district no later than midnight November 13, 2018 in order that the candidates name appears on the ballot. Should the secretary receive only one signed petition for director under the amended State Irrigation Statute 87.03.075 and no election is necessary. The Board of Okanogan County Commissioners is accepting letters of interest for three vacant positions on the Fair Advisory Committee. Interested volunteers looking to provide value to the community and serve a 2-year term, are encouraged to apply.

Fair Advisory Committee Members meet monthly to discuss a variety of fair related topics, making decisions reflective of its mission statement: “The Okanogan County Fair exists to provide a county wide family event reflecting the values of Okanogan County, the accomplishments of Okanogan County youth, agriculture, and communities.”

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

SPECIAL ASSESSMENT ROLL

LAKE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT #1

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be conducted by the Okanogan Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), acting as a Board of Equalization, to hear objections against the special assessment levied by Lake Management District #1 formed on August 28, 2018 by Ordinance 2018-14 around Lake Osoyoos near Oroville WA.

A special assessment of $160.00 for every lot included on the district rolls will be collected annually for a period of 5 years beginning in 2019.

The public hearing is scheduled for December 17, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. in the Commissioners Auditorium in the Virginia Grainger Building at 123 5th Ave N in Okanogan Washington. Objections to the proposed special assessment roll must be made in writing, shall clearly state the grounds for objections, and shall be filed with the governing body (BOCC) prior to the public hearing. Objections to a special assessment or annual special assessments that are not filed in writing as required shall be deemed waived and shall not be considered by the governing body or a court on appeal.

The special assessment roll for Lake Management District #1 is available for public inspection on the Okanogan County Planning Department website at www.okanogancounty.org/planning and on the City of Oroville website. 1) Okanogan County Office of Planning located at 123 5th Ave North Suite 130, Okanogan WA between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

2) Board of County Commissioners Office at 123 5th Ave N Suite 150, Okanogan WA between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to noon and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

3) Oroville City Hall located at 1308 Ironwood Street in Oroville, WA between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Nominations are now being accepted for the position of Weed Board Members for noxious weed area # 1 and area # 4.

Weed area # 1 consists of the Colville Tribes Indian Reservation, and includes the towns of Grand Coulee, Nespelem and East Omak.

Weed area # 4 consists of the towns of Conconully & Riverside east to Ferry County.

OKANOGAN COUNTY

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Okanogan County Department of Public Works will close Sinlahekin Road from MP 12.16 to MP 15.16 on Monday, November 26, 2018 to December 14, 2018 to replace the culvert. We expect to have the repairs done and reopen both lanes on December 15, 2018.
