The Okanogan County Fire District 6 commissioners will hold a Special Meeting on Thrs, November 15th starting immediately after the Budget Hearing which starts at 5:00 pm. The Special Meeting is to discuss the 2019 Budget. The Meeting location is 434 W Second Ave in Twisp (Twisp Fire Hall).

Okanogan County Department of Public Works and Central Landfill will be installing a new Truck Scales from November 8th through 13th 2018.
On these dates there will be expected delays and long lines while the contractors work to replace the current scales that are outdated.

2019 BUDGET PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Council of the Town of Winthrop, Washington, has prepared the Town Budget for fiscal year 2019. Public hearing upon said budget will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at the hour of 6:05 p.m. in the back room (Hen House) of the Winthrop Barn, 51 SR20.
All interested persons may appear and be heard at said time and place. Written comments must be received by the time of hearing in order to be considered. All persons requiring assistance in accessing the Winthrop Barn are requested to contact Town Hall at 996-2320 at least one day prior to the hearing.

FINAL DETERMINATION OF NON-SIGNIFICANCE PROPOSED CODE AMENDMENT OCC 17A.400.130 WATER AVAILABILITY STUDY AREA UPPER TUNK, LOWER TUNK, TAMARACK SPRING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be conducted by the Okanogan County Regional Planning Commission on November 19, 2018, regarding a proposed ordinance amending OCC 17A.400.130 Water Availability Study Areas to identify the Upper Tunk, Lower Tunk, and Tamarack Spring Basins located in Water Resource Inventory Area #49 as water availability study areas. If adopted the amendment would initiate a study of the potential water demand created by the use of permit-exempt wells and the potential impact the water use would have on senior water users. The length of the study would not exceed two years. During the period of the study no application for the subdivision of property that proposes to use permit-exempt wells as the source of potable water will be accepted.
On August 25, 2018 the Okanogan Board of County Commissioners approved ordinance 2018-13 adopting the proposed amendments as interim controls.
The SEPA Responsible Official has issued a Final Determination of Non-Significance (DNS) regarding the revised proposal.
The public hearing will be conducted on November 19, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Auditorium in the Virginia Grainger Building in Okanogan, WA. Verbal testimony will be taken with a time limit of 3 minutes per speaker. Written comments may be submitted at the hearing. Okanogan County Public Works Sinlahekin Creek SE 2018-15
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Okanogan County Public Works has submitted a Joint Aquatic Resource Permit Application (JARPA) for an Okanogan County Shoreline Exemption.
Okanogan County Department of Public Works proposes to replace an existing culvert with a larger one. The new culvert will be 72 feet long, 20 feet 7 inch with a 6 foot 1 inch rise bottomless arch. The previous culvert was an emergency fix and was undersized. This is a permanent fix with a bigger and longer culvert to accommodate future large flow and allow full road width over the water.
The project is in Sinlahekin Creek within Sinlahekin Road Right of Way, Township 37 North, Range 25 E.W.M. in Section 22, approximately 5 miles southerly of the Town of Loomis, WA.
