The Winter Sale is all moved into the sale room and we are working hard. It takes hours and hours of work from many volunteers to have a special sale.
We are getting a lot of wonderful things in for donations, but also some real garbage. So please don’t bring that to us — it makes us cranky (some worse than others). Sorry if any one has been offended by any one of us by refusing to accept a donation. We are understaffed and overworked. Thank you all for understanding.
Had a little excitement Sunday when hubby and I walked in to find a room full of smoke. It was coming from the community center, and thankfully it was just smoke from the furnace somehow. Thanks to the fire department for a quick response.
The Senior Center is located next to the Methow Valley Community Center on Highway 20 in Twisp. Lunch is served at noon by the Okanogan County Transportation and Nutrition Program on Monday, Thursday and Friday. The suggested donation for lunch is $4 for seniors over age 60; the cost is $8.50 for those under 60. Annual membership dues are $1.25.
Transportation is available locally for the senior lunch program, and for monthly trips to Omak/Okanogan the second Tuesday of the month and to Wenatchee the third Tuesday of the month. Call 1 – 800 – 635‑4391 for additional details.
