DIVISION CHIEF JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
Okanogan County Fire District #6 is currently accepting applications for Division Chief, a command position. The monthly wage for this position is $3,500 to $3,800 per month depending on qualifications and experience. Also included is a comprehensive benefit package including medical insurance, vacation, and enrollment in the LEOFF retirement system. This position is not covered by the Federal Social Security system and is a non-exempt position. The successful candidate will be required to complete a probationary period of one year.
18 years of age or older
High school graduate or equivalent
Good physical and mental health
Proficiency speaking, reading, and writing the English language
Clean driving and police record
Possession of a Washington State driver’s license
Currently certified or able to obtain within probationary period certification for Washington State Firefighter 1

NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO PLACE PORTIONS OF A WATER RIGHT INTO THE WASHINGTON STATE TRUST WATER PROGRAM
TAKE NOTICE: That on 06/06/2018 Crown Columbia Water Resources, LLC of Spokane County, Washington filed an application with the Okanogan County Water Conservancy Board which proposes the transfer of portions of surface water claim no. S4-300641CL into the Washington State Trust Water Program. This application was accepted by the Board and assigned identifier No. OKAN 18-02. You are encouraged to inquire further as directed below, but be advised of the following details:
Surface water claim S4-300641CL filed by the Lundgren Limited Family Partnership asserts a date of first use of November 1907. The subject claim asserts the diversion of 33cfs and 440af from an unidentified location on the Chewuch River for the purposes of irrigation and domestic use. The place of use of the subject claim is described as S1/2 Sec. 2 and N1/2 Sec. 11 lying east of the Chewuch River except the SWNE of Sec. 11 ALL IN T35N, R21E Okanogan Co. WA.
The subject application proposes to transfer up to 33cfs and 255.2afy into the State Trust Water Program for the instream flow benefit the Chewuch River. The balance of water quantities not transferred to Trust shall be retained for continued use at the existing place of use.
Any protests or objections to the approval of this application may be filed with the Department of Ecology and must include a detailed statement of the basis for objections; protests must be accompanied by a fifty dollar ($50) recording fee and filed with the Department of Ecology Cashiering Unit, P.O. Box 47611, Olympia, WA 98504-7611 within thirty (30) days from June 20, 2018.
Any interested party may submit written comments, objections, and other information to the board regarding this application to its offices located at 1205 Ormiston St., Wenatchee, Washington, 98801. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT Larry Goldie and Blue Bradley, 502 Lufkin Lane, Winthrop, WA 98862 have submitted application for a zoning variance, under Winthrop Municipal Code (WMC) Section 17.36.040 and Title 19. The request would reduce the side yard setback from 10’ to 3’ to allow construction of an entryway to the home they are building at 502 Lufkin Lane in the Town of Winthrop. The property is located in the R-2 zoning district. The site is constrained by the location of a town water mainline that was constructed outside of the dedicated easement.

Notice of Public Hearing
LAKE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT #1 BALLOT PROPOSAL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Okanogan Board of County Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on July 10, 2018 to take public testimony regarding a 2nd revised resolution stating the intent to form a Lake Management District on Lake Osoyoos in accordance with RCW 36.61. If the Board decides to move ahead with the formation of the district a mailed ballot will be issued for the property owners within the proposed district boundaries to determine if the district should be formed. The public hearing will review the boundaries of the proposed district as revised and the assessments to be collected on an annual basis. The proposed district boundary includes property adjacent to Lake Osoyoos. There are 303 parcels within the boundaries of the proposed district. Agricultural lots without residential structures, the common lots owned by the Veranda Beach Homeowners Association, and lots not capable of being developed are proposed for exclusion. Other parcels may be excluded from the district by the Board of County Commissioners if the parcels are found to not benefit from inclusion in the district.
If approved by a simple majority of the property owners the district will conduct control measures for milfoil and other invasive species for 5 years at which time the district will dissolve. An annual assessment of approx. $160.00 dollars per parcel on all properties included in the district will be collected every year for 5 years. Total collections in 5 years will be $240,400.00.
The SEPA Responsible Official has determined this proposal is categorically exempt from environmental review in accordance with WAC 197-11-800 (16).
The public hearing will be conducted on July 10, 2018 at 6:00 in the Oroville City Hall in Oroville, WA. Verbal testimony will be taken with a time limit of 5 minutes per speaker. Written comments may be submitted at the hearing. Written comments will be accepted prior to the hearing and may be submitted in writing or electronically to Lalena Johns, Clerk of the Board, at 123 5th Ave N Ste 150, Okanogan, WA 98840 or at email@example.com.

PROPOSED CODE AMENDMENT
OCC 2.88 PUBLIC RECORDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Okanogan County Prosecutor’s Office has proposed an ordinance that would amend Okanogan County Code OCC 2.88.070 Review of Denials of Public Records, to require exhaustion of administrative remedies before seeking judicial review of a county decision regarding a records request. If approved, the amendment would allow the county an administrative review process and would establish new timelines and processes for the review of a denial or partial denial of a request for public records.
The SEPA Responsible Official has determined this proposal is categorically exempt from environmental review in accordance with WAC 197-11-800 (19a).
A public hearing has been scheduled by the Okanogan County Board of County Commissioners. The public hearing will be conducted on June 26, 2018 at 3:15 p.m. in the Commissioners Auditorium in the Virginia Grainger Building in Okanogan, WA. Tieszen Shoreline Substantial Development Permit, SDP 2018-1
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Ryan Walker on behalf of Brian Tieszen has submitted a Joint Aquatic Resource Permit Application (JARPA) for an Okanogan County Shoreline Substantial Development Permit. The proposed project consists of removing an existing dock and constructing a new dock on adjacent property. An existing boat lift will be relocated and placed adjacent to the new dock.
Location of Proposal, including street address, if any: The site is located at 14 Oro Beach Rd, approximately 1½ miles northerly of the Town of Oroville, WA on tax parcel numbers 8824300300, & 8824300400 within Okanogan County.
PROJECT CONSISTENCY: This application will be reviewed in accordance with the Master Program for Okanogan County Shoreline Management, Growth Management Critical Areas Regulations, Okanogan County Code, Title 14 (Environment), Okanogan County Code, Title 15.08 (Floodplain Management) and all other applicable County regulations. The Project has been reviewed and found to be consistent with requirements established by the Master Program for Okanogan County Shoreline Management.
