Senior News: June 6, 2018

June 7, 2018 by Methow Valley News

MVSeniorCenter

The Western Sale is over, and the Winter Sale is already moving into the sale room.

Now, some nice summer weather, a little less wind and fewer mosquitoes would be nice.

We are getting lots of donations, and we love to get the clean nice things, but we have been getting a lot of dirty, wet, broken garbage. This takes up our time and fills the garbage up. Please take your unusable thing to your own garbage cans.

And remember, you are on camera. Leaving large unusable items can result in a phone call for you to come and take it back.

The Senior Center is located next to the Methow Valley Community Center on Highway 20 in Twisp. Lunch is served at noon by the Okanogan County Transportation and Nutrition Program on Monday, Thursday and Friday. The suggested donation for lunch is $4 for seniors over age 60; the cost is $8.50 for those under 60. Annual membership dues are $1.25.

Transportation is available locally for the senior lunch program, and for monthly trips to Omak/Okanogan the second Tuesday of the month and to Wenatchee the third Tuesday of the month. Call 1-800-635-4391 for additional details.
