A tribute to the life of the late Egon Steinebach, co-founder of The Merc Playhouse in Twisp, will be on Sunday (June 3), beginning with an “Open Merc” session at the playhouse, then moving to a potluck at the Twisp Valley Grange (a change from the original location). The free event begins at 3 p.m.; beverages will be provided.

Steinebach emceed the all-comers talent event, “Open Merc,” for 10 years. Participants at the tribute are encouraged to share stories, memories and songs.
