It’s time to saddle up and put on your spurs, the Western Sale starts this weekend on Saturday. There will be coffee and donuts and apple fritters while you are waiting for the sale to start. You won’t want to miss the silent auction — there are some great items in it. The sale room is stuffed full and the dining room will be full also. See you there.
We had our over-80 party last Friday. Mary Bean was the oldest lady at 103, and Rudy Peterson was the oldest man. Congratulations to them and all of you. Our theme was “a blast from the past.” Arlene Arneson had on a black flapper dress, and Mary Ann Banes looked like she was headed to high school with her school annual and Vernon’s school sweater on.
This coming Friday we will award our gift basket for the month.
The Senior Center is located next to the Methow Valley Community Center on Highway 20 in Twisp. Lunch is served at noon by the Okanogan County Transportation and Nutrition Program on Monday, Thursday and Friday. The suggested donation for lunch is $4 for seniors over age 60; the cost is $8.50 for those under 60. Annual membership dues are $1.25.
Transportation is available locally for the senior lunch program, and for monthly trips to Omak/Okanogan the second Tuesday of the month and to Wenatchee the third Tuesday of the month. Call 1-800-635-4391 for additional details.
