Methow Valley Ranger District personnel will be conducting a prescribed burn today (May 8) if weather conditions are favorable. This prescribed burn is located 8 miles north of Winthrop in the Cub Creek drainage. This prescribed burn will remove approximately 17 acres of old logging slash and prepare the area for planting seedlings.
