
Slopestyle competitors gathered at Loup Loup Ski Bowl last weekend.
The 2018 Loup Loup Slopestyle Competition last Saturday (March 3) drew skiers and snowboarders who took three runs on the Loup Loup Terrain Park, completing a variety of jumps, spins, grinds and grabs on the park features.
Event organizers were Seth Stevie and Leaf Seaburg. The event was Stevie’s senior project at Liberty Bell High School.
Prizes for competitors were donated by Lib Tech Snowboards, Rossignol Skis, North Cascades Heli, Hank’s Harvest Foods, Winthrop Mountain Sports, Twisp Terrace, Methow Cycle & Sport, East 20 Pizza, Loup Loup Ski Rentals, Pony Espresso, Rocking Horse Bakery, Les Schwab Tires and Blue Star Coffee.
Competitors were judged based on the quality and originality of their tricks, maintaining the best two combined scores of their three runs. Here are the results:
Ages 7 to 12:
