The Loup Loup Ski Bowl Community Challenge — a three-part timed relay for families and friends — will be on Saturday (March 10), starting at 10:30 a.m.

Teams of three will compete in Giant Slalom (on skis or snowboard); the Tube Hill (run up the hill with a Loup tube, slide down); and Nordic (sprint around the 3-kilometer Flat Loop). Teams can be mixed ages 7 to adult, and must consist of at least one male and one female member.

Grand prizes are awarded to the three teams with the fastest combined times. Every participant receives a raffle ticket for other prizes and lunch.

The event is sponsored by donations from Sun Mountain Lodge, Twisp River Suites, Hank’s Harvest Foods, Rossignol Skiwear, Goat’s Beard Mountain Supplies, Mazama Store, Winthrop Mountain Sports, Loup Loup Ski Bowl and others.

Team registration is $45 in advance, $60 on the day of the event. For more information, visit skitheloup.com/events/community-challenge-relay, or call (509) 557-3401.

The Community Challenge is free for spectators.

For more information about the Community Challenge Relay, call (509) 557-3404, or email schooldirector@skitheloup.com.
