Membership drive at MV Community Center in Twisp

March 7, 2018 by Methow Valley News

The Methow Valley Community Center is launching its annual membership drive this week.

Current and past members will receive information in the mail and a form to return. Persons interested in purchasing a membership for the first time, or who wish to donate to keep the iconic building maintained, can visit methowcommunity.org.

Membership entitles you to discounts on event rentals and use of the gym during regular hours.

Membership also helps to create affordable rental rates for businesses like the Methow Valley Community School, Cascadia Music and Pipestone Orchestra, Twisp Visitor Information Center, Lorrie Wilson School of Dance, Pasayten Taekwondo, Terry Hunt guitar studio, and the Methow Valley Theater.

In addition, membership helps provide for recreational activities like AAU basketball, pickle ball, yoga, TOPS exercise, open gym for youth and adults, roller skating parties, dances, performances, memorials and celebrations. The facility is handicapped-accessible with open gym times for rehabilitation after injury.

Memberships and donations support improvements including heating system upgrades, updated sound system, and a newly renovated kitchen.

The center is housed in the former Twisp School, built in 1912. It has been remodeled and cared for by members of the community since 1978. For information, call 997-2926 or email mvccenter@methownet.com.
