
Sharron Anne Welch, 77, of Carlton, passed away peacefully, at home in her sleep on Jan. 30, 2018. Sharron was born in Madison, Wisconsin, on July 31, 1940. She was raised in Madison and attended Central High School.
Sharron’s journey through life included being raised in a large family of 15.
Sharron loved to read and had a passion for football and was an inaugural season ticket holder for the Seattle Seahawks. She loved birds, flowers and country and western music.
Sharron spoke often of her customers at both Chopsticks in Edmonds and Duffy’s in Richmond Beach. Sharron married the love of her life, Gordon, on Jan. 23, 1981. They made their home in Lynnwood, Washington, while building their home on the Methow River in Carlton, where they have resided since 1993.
Sharron was preceded in death by her parents Zeno and Elizabeth (Barhorst) Ninedorf, her brothers Richard, Robert, Tommy, Frank, Willy and Donny. She was also preceded in death by her Aunt Hilda and stepson Gordon.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gordon D. Welch Jr. She also leaves behind her brothers, Phil (Carol), Stan (Beverly), Russell (Betty) and Danny Ninedorf; sisters, Nancy Nye and Jackie Ninedorf and sister in-law Charlene Monger; daughters Cindy Magill (Ron), and Connie Sampson Evans, her son John Sampson; stepchildren Grant Welch, Toni Welch-Koelling (Tony) and Lisa Dunakin (Mike). Grandchildren: Shawn, Jeremy, Aaron, Steven, Laurie Ann, Breanna, Kyle, Jessica, Cassandra, Brittany, Amanda, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Feb. 6, 2018, in Twisp.
