Methow Recycles lease extended

December 14, 2017 by Methow Valley News

The Town of Winthrop has extended its lease agreement with Methow Recycles for use of a town-owned building on Horizon Flats on a month-to-month basis while the town attempts to sell the property.

Methow Recycles has been using the town-owned site for 10 years. The existing lease expired Oct. 22.

In other business at its Dec. 6 meeting, the Town Council re-appointed Winthrop attorney Dave Ebenger to another four-year term as municipal court judge.

Mayor Sally Ranzau also reported that she recently met with the board of the Winthrop Auditorium Association, the nonprofit group that operates the Winthrop Barn, to discuss necessary improvements to the building. Ranzau said the board will come up with a list of priorities.
