A 1-percent increase in the property tax and EMS levies was approved by the Twisp Town Council on Monday (Oct. 30).
One percent is the maximum increase in tax revenue that can be levied by any taxing districts under state law.
The EMS levy supports Aero Methow Rescue Service, and the increase amounts to $463 in 2018. The town levy increase supports Twisp’s general fund and street fund and equals $1,850 in 2018.
