We are going to be taking the old carpet out soon. If anyone wants it, it’s free – first-come gets it. It would be great for a garage or shop.
Our senior center members-only barbecue is set for the July 5. If you are a member and would like to attend, we have a sign-up sheet to help give us an idea of how many. Lunch will be at noon: hamburgers, beans, potato salad, melon, chips and ice cream cones.
Also, we have a chalk and eraser rail that came out from under the old chalk board. If interested, it’s $40 for a piece of Twisp school history.
The gift basket will be given out on Friday. You must be at the lunch to enter.
The Senior Center is located next to the Methow Valley Community Center on Highway 20 in Twisp. Lunch is served at noon by the Okanogan County Transportation and Nutrition Program on Monday, Thursday and Friday. The suggested donation for lunch is $3.50 for seniors over age 60; the cost is $8 for those under 60. Annual membership dues are $1.25.
Transportation is available locally for the senior lunch program, and for monthly trips to Omak/Okanogan the second Tuesday of the month and to Wenatchee the third Tuesday of the month. Call 1-800-635-4391 for additional details.
