B. Ann Jenkins (Beverly Ann Neff) passed away at her home in Carlton on April 3, 2017. She is survived by her brothers Tom Neff and Earl Neff, her nieces (Michele, Brooke, Kassandra and Shea), nephew Dean, grand-nephew Oliver, sister-in-law Jan (Neff) Lee, cats Mikey and Willie, and her daughter Lisa.
Born to George and Dowane Neff of Pateros, the oldest of four, Ann graduated from Pateros High School and later from Washington State University. She was the first person married in the Pateros Methodist church. She lived and traveled around the world — Indonesia, Japan, Europe — and spent much of her life in San Diego and San Francisco. Quick-witted, a voracious reader, a lover of theater, music and live events; an excellent cook with a legendary cheesecake, and a human BS detector, Ann never compromised when it came to how she led her life (and would be mortified to find anything about herself in the paper — sorry, Mom).
Her strength, grace, warmth and sense of humor will be remembered by all who knew her.
There will be a small service this summer. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate support for Room One in Carlton (www.roomone.org) with a donation in her name. Please feel free to contact her daughter, Lisa, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
