Richard Carlyle Anderson, resident of Twisp for 23 years, passed away Jan. 3, 2017, at the age of 89.
He was born at home in Index, Washington, on Oct. 29, 1927. Richard was a retired truck driver but had other jobs earlier in his life. He worked for the U.S. Forest Service, on a tugboat, on a mink ranch, and in the early 1950s was a Washington State Patrol officer. He enjoyed hunting with his brother Joe and especially with his son Richard. Preceding him in death are his wife Myrtle and son Richard D. Anderson.
He is survived by his daughter Susan Kellogg, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
