Tom was born in 1964. He died unexpectedly, yet peacefully, a few days before his 52nd birthday.
He lived most recently in Bellingham. He also spent some years in San Francisco, California, Long Island, New York, and Twisp. He was an artist, architect and designer not only of residential and commercial projects, but also of public spaces with unique vision about how people relate to each other and the places in which they gather.
Tom traveled the world with visits to Italy, Spain, Egypt, Central America and Mexico. This travel really sparked new interests in Tom and fed his insatiable need for exchanging ideas.
Tom always had pets and fish wherever he lived and they really meant a lot to him. He is survived by mother Sue Odell, father Chip Odell (Evan), his three brothers Jeffrey, Tim and Jason and their spouses, partners and children. We will all miss his energy and singular personality.
A memorial service is being planned for Tom to be held in Houston, Texas, where he grew up. The date has not yet been set.
