This week’s Mountain Lion of the Week is ninth-grade cross-country standout Novie McCabe. Novie’s commitment to her team carries beyond running fast at races. As soon as Novie crosses the finish line, in first place more often than not, she can be seen headed briskly back down the course to cheer on all of her teammates in a display of true caring. Novie and the rest of the Lady Lions will be competing at the state meet in Pasco this weekend. Good luck!
One of the nominations for Novie said: “Novie is an amazing runner and breaks course records all the time, but under that she is kind, funny and a really cool person. She deserves to be Mountain Lion of the Week every single week, so I hope she can get in for this one.”
