Do you want to work in the great outdoors in the summer of 2017? The Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest has more than 100 jobs available in positions ranging from archaeology to trails to fire.
Applications for the summer jobs must be submitted online at www.usajobs.gov from Nov. 15-21.
“The most important steps are applying online and following up afterwards,” said Forest Training Officer Jason Heinz. “We want to hire passionate, dedicated folks that represent the communities we serve.”
From the Canadian border to the Goat Rocks Wilderness south of I-90, the national forest provides clean water, abundant wildlife habitat, sustainable forest products, incredible recreation, and much more, Heinz said.
“Each summer, hundreds of seasonal employees help maintain and enhance this dynamic place for current and future generations” Heinz said.
Applications will be accepted only through the USAjobs website. Potential applicants are encouraged to access the website early to allow time to create or update their user accounts. More information is available on the forest website at www.fs.usda.gov/goto/okawen/summerjobs.
