Lady Lions win 1, lose 2 in busy volleyball week

September 29, 2016 by Methow Valley News

The Liberty Bell High School volleyball team won its second consecutive match on Sept. 20 with a 3-2 victory at Omak, then dropped two games to a couple of the strongest teams in the Central Washington 2B league.

On Sept. 22, the Lady Lions lost a home match to undefeated Tonasket, 3-1. Last Thursday (Sept. 24), Brewster came away with a 3-0 win on Liberty Bell’s home court.

The Lady Lions hosted Soap Lake on Tuesday (Sept. 27). Going into Tuesday’s game, Liberty Bell’s season record was 2-4 and Soap Lake’s was 2-3.

The Lady Lions travel to Bridgeport on Thursday (Sept. 29), then stay on the road at Manson on Tuesday (Oct. 4). The next home game is on Oct. 6 against Waterville.

When Liberty Bell plays at home, the junior varsity volleyball team takes the court at 5 p.m. The earlier game is an opportunity to see the younger Lady Lions in action.
