September 22, 2016 by Methow Valley News

Emily Paul

This year’s first Mountain Lion of the Week is junior volleyball player Emily Paul. Each week peers, teammates, coaches and teachers nominate students who embody the best qualities of Mountain Lion student-athletes: They are inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, balanced, caring, courageous and reflective. Here’s what Emily’s teammates had to say about her:

“A positive, selfless player on the volleyball court who works hard for her teammates and strives to be better each day in practice. All the while an active member in 4-H with her hog receiving a blue ribbon at last week’s Okanogan County fair, as well as keeping her grades up in high school. Great role model for LBH.” And, “Emily is an all-around hard worker. She has a contagious positive attitude and it always lifting her teammates and friends up!”
