RESOLUTION NO. 16-584
A RESOLUTION of the Town Council of the Town of Twisp, Washington, indicating the intention of the Twisp Town Council to conduct a hearing concerning the assumption of the rights, powers, functions, immunities and obligations of the Town of Twisp Transportation Benefit District and scheduling a time for such public hearing.
WHEREAS, RCW 36.74.010 allows the Town of Twisp to assume the rights, powers, functions, immunities and obligations of the Town of Twisp Transportation Benefit District, hereinafter “Twisp TBD”; and
WHEREAS, the Twisp TBD has been established pursuant to RCW 36.73 with boundaries coterminous with the boundaries of the Town; and
WHEREAS, RCW 36.74.020 authorizes the Town Council to initiate the assumption of the rights, powers, functions, immunities and obligations of the Twisp TBD by indicating its intention to conduct a public hearing considering the assumption of such rights, powers, functions, immunities and obligations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TWISP, WASHINGTON, as follows:
Section 1. Intention to Conduct a Public Hearing. The Twisp Town Council indicates its intention to conduct a public hearing concerning the assumption of the rights, powers, functions, immunities and obligations of the Twisp TBD.
Section 2. Public Hearing. A public hearing shall be held at the Council Chambers, Twisp Town Hall, 118 South Glover Street, Twisp, Washington on August 23, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. At such public hearing, the Twisp Town Council will consider the proposed assumption of the rights, powers, functions, immunities and obligations of the Twisp TBD, and all persons interested may appear and be heard on such proposed assumption.
Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective from and after its passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor.

Said ordinance may be examined at the Winthrop Town Hall during regular business hours or a copy will be mailed upon request.
