Bryan Putnam is the Confluence Gallery artist in resident through July 31. Putnam receives three months of studio space on the second floor of the gallery in Twisp, and will end his residency with a solo exhibit in the gift shop from July 23 – Aug. 27.
Putnam spent the last two years teaching art at the University of Oregon, where he received his MFA in printmaking and drawing in 2014. His courses included intaglio printmaking, introduction to printmaking, screen print, advanced printmaking, advanced drawing and intermediate drawing.
During his residency at Confluence, Putnam intends to create drawings, paintings and prints made on found paper, wood and other materials gathered from farms, businesses and wild spaces in the Methow Valley.
