Notes
It won’t be long now before the big Western Sale on Memorial Day weekend. There will be a biscuits-and-gravy breakfast to start out with, then the sale opens, and there will be a silent auction later. Come and join the fun. The sale room is pretty well set up now, and looking great. Check out our Facebook page for pictures.
The over-80 party is May 20. Let’s find out who’s the oldest man. We are pretty sure Mary Bean will be the oldest lady. If you need a Western hat or shirt, we can furnish that for the pictures. Judy Zutter is making a special cake again for us. And we will have wanted posters to take pictures in.
Howard Betty brought in one of his handmade inlaid bowls for us to give away to a lucky winner, and that was Lois Chavey. Thanks, Howard, for all your donations.
The Thrift Store is open Monday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., and Saturday during the Farmers Market.
The Senior Center is located next to the Methow Valley Community Center on Highway 20 in Twisp. Lunch is served at noon by the Okanogan County Transportation and Nutrition Program on Monday, Thursday and Friday. The suggested donation for lunch is $3.50 for seniors over age 60; the cost is $8 for those under 60. Annual membership dues are $1.25.
Transportation is available locally for the senior lunch program, and for monthly trips to Omak/Okanogan the second Tuesday of the month and to Wenatchee the third Tuesday of the month. Call the Senior Center at 997-7722 for additional details.
