Notes
The center has been a busy place, with the old windows in the sale room and rummage room being taken out and replaced. Some of us had the chore of moving things so the crew could get to the windows. It will be really nice when all is done.
Some of our snow birds are coming back north for the summer. It will be nice to have a full crew again.
A lot of dancers showed up for the Friday dance, as it was the first one in months and it sounds like it will be a couple of months before there will be another dance with the Hottells — so if anyone wants to find another band to fill in, go ahead.
We have some large old metal windows for sale for $5 a frame. They would be great for a greenhouse. We also have an air conditioner that works well.
The Thrift Store is open Monday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
The Senior Center is located next to the Methow Valley Community Center on Highway 20 in Twisp. Lunch is served at noon by the Okanogan County Transportation and Nutrition Program on Monday, Thursday and Friday. The suggested donation for lunch is $3.50 for seniors over age 60; the cost is $8 for those under 60. Annual membership dues are $1.25.
Transportation is available locally for the senior lunch program, and for monthly trips to Omak/Okanogan the second Tuesday of the month and to Wenatchee the third Tuesday of the month. Call the Senior Center at 997-7722 for additional details.
