Loup Team at Mission Ridge

The Loup Loup Alpine Ski Team sent three eligible racers to the U12 champs at Mission Ridge ski area last weekend. The three-day competition drew about 70 girls and 70 boys.

In the Saturday Grand Slalom, Olivia Glenn placed 29th, Carter Sheley was 28th and  Graham Sheley was 36th.

In the Sunday Slalom race, Glenn placed 24th, Graham Sheley finished 26th, and Carter Sheley was disqualified.

The team’s next race is March 31–April 3 at Mount Bachelor in Bend, Oregon, for the U16 championships.

Winners at Community Challenge

The team of Heidi Dunn, Jarred Johnson and Emily Lints won the first Community Challenge grand slalom/tubing/Nordic skiing relay race at Loup Loup Ski Bowl on March 12, with a time of 11 minutes, 3 seconds. Second place went to Gabrielle Beaudin/Hank Schuler/Michael Hutchins with a time of 11:34, and the third-place team was Sid Pattison/Steph Williams/Abbie Bange Pattison with a time of 11:43.

Loup Loup General Manager C.P. Grosenick said the inaugural event drew 27 competitors.

Golf club meeting
