After spending nearly all its pre-season practice time indoors, the Liberty Bell High School tennis team got plenty of court time in three matches last week.
“I’m pleased overall considering we still have snow on our courts,” coach Dave Schulz Sr. said this week. “We made good progress.”
Schulz said the team’s roster numbers about 25, but many of them were not academically eligible right away. Now, all but one are eligible, he said.
Results of last week’s competition:

The boys also won, 5-1. Forest Rickabaugh won, 8-6, over Pateros’ No. 1 girls singles player; Grayson Alexander lost, 4-8; Tyler White won, 8-1; Fallon Hutson and Wayne Grubb prevailed in doubles, 8-2; and Isaac Blodgett and Gavin Headlee won their doubles match, 9-7.
