Dorothy Evelyn Johnson
1920–2016

OBIT_johnson,-dorothyDorothy Evelyn Johnson, 95, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016, with family at her side, at Jamie’s Place in Winthrop.

Dorothy was born Oct. 5, 1920, to Paul and Cecil Rae Paulson on a sheep ranch near Jordan, Montana. She married Frank Oliver Johnson on June 10, 1946.

Dorothy is survived by her brother Paul Ray (Gloria) Paulson of Ronan, Montana; daughters Kathy (Mike) Corrigan, of Winthrop, Jeannie Johnson of Winthrop, and Joanne Johnson of Winthrop; sons Lynn Johnson of Tukwila and Ben (Loree) Johnson of Seattle; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her sister Betty Miles and brother David Paulson.

Dorothy enjoyed 60 summers at her home at Big Twin Lake Campground. She enjoyed her family and visiting with many campers.

Visitation will be held at Precht’s Methow Valley Funeral Home in Twisp on Saturday (March 19) from
11 a.m.–1 pm.

Precht’s Methow Valley Chapel is in charge of arrangements; funeral service will be at Precht’s Methow Valley Chapel in Twisp on Saturday (March 19) at 1 p.m., followed by burial at Beaver Creek Cemetery south of Twisp, followed by dessert at the Cascade Bible Church gymnasium.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Jamie’s Place/Mountain View House caregivers for their gentle, loving care in her last days. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Jamie’s Place, P.O. Box 1260, Winthrop, WA 98862.
