Merc offers pre-school dance classes
The Merc Playhouse in Twisp is offering pre-school dance classes on Tuesdays from 3:30 – 4 p.m. through March 1 for kids ages 3 – 5. Cost is $5 per class on a drop-in basis. The classes will include introduction to a variety of dance styles. For more information, call 997‑7529.
Enter Winthrop Gallery’s pet photo contest
The Winthrop Gallery will conduct its annual animal photo contest in February. This year the contest is expanded to include all pets, not just dogs and cats. To enter, bring framed photos to the gallery by 5 p.m. on Feb. 6. Entry forms are available at www.winthropgallery.com and at the gallery.
Entries must be framed and ready to hang on a wall. The entry fee is $5 per photo. Kids 14 and under may enter one photo free. All entry fees will be donated to the Okanogan County spay and neuter clinic.
Prizes awarded in several categories, and the photos will be displayed at the gallery Feb. 11 – 28. There will be a reception from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Feb. 14. For more information, call 996‑3316.
Cascadia concert at The Merc
Local musicians will gather to share music from Mozart and Schumann to jazz and folk at the Cascadia Small Ensembles Concert on Jan. 31 at 3 p.m. at The Merc Playhouse in Twisp. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for youth, and free for those 12 and under. For more information, call 997‑0222.
