An article about nightly rentals in the Jan. 6 issue provided incomplete information about the effect of proposed changes to the Okanogan County zoning code on nightly rentals. If these changes are approved, a conditional-use permit would be required for a new nightly rental in the Methow Valley School District, from Gold Creek to Mazama. In the Methow Valley south of Gold Creek (as well as the rest of the county), the current prohibition on nightly rentals would be lifted and they would be allowed outright, with no special permit required.
