Okanogan County planners are reviewing two applications to subdivide lots, one in the Lost River Airport development near Mazama, and one on Twisp-Airport Road 1 mile south of Twisp.
Laurence and Lisa Savage seek to divide 13.67 acres on the Methow River in the Lost River Airport development into two lots. One lot, on the Methow River, which has an existing home, would be 8.67 acres after the subdivision. The other is currently undeveloped and would be 5 acres. Each lot would have its own well.
Existing structures are within the 100-year floodplain.
Bradley Bustad seeks to divide two existing parcels on the Methow River on Twisp-Airport Road into three residential lots of 1-1/4 acres each and to create open space. The initial parcels are a total of 10.6 acres.
The short plat would create 7 acres of open space in the shoreline environment along the river within 100-year floodplain, divided equally into three private areas for each residential lot.
Water would be provided by wells on one of the residential lots.
The Okanogan County Planning Director has determined that both proposals are exempt from review under the State Environmental Policy Act.
