Junior Lauren Fitzmaurice, the leading scorer on the Liberty Bell High School varsity girls’ basketball team, has been named Mountain Lion of the Week. Fitzmaurice was nominated by a teammate who said, “During basketball she is really supportive and has been helping us all improve.”
Mountain Lion of the Week nominees are chosen by students and staff. All current student-athletes in grades 7 – 12 are eligible, and the winner is chosen based on character and classroom leadership, as well as athletic excellence.
