Celebrate with the Community Center
The Methow Valley Community Center will host a free Christmas celebration at the tree sale tent in the Hank’s Harvest Foods parking lot on Saturday (Dec. 19) from noon – 3 p.m. to thank the community and volunteers for supporting the tree sales effort, which benefits the community center. Mrs. Claus will make an appearance and there will be Christmas carol singing, hot cider and other holiday treats. For more information, call 997-2926.
Flock to the bird count
The annual Twisp Christmas Bird Count will be on Sunday (Dec. 20), starting with a meeting at Cinnamon Twisp Bakery at 6:30 a.m. Baked goods, coffee and tea will be available for purchase. Bring binoculars, warm clothes, a lunch and field guides. A potluck dinner and tally of the day’s count will follow at Art Campbell and Michelle Dewey’s home at 5:30 p.m. Bring a dish to share. Cove open on the eves
The Cove in Twisp will be open from 1 – 3 p.m. on Dec. 24 and 31. There will be no soup or sandwiches; bags will be made up and ready to go. For more information, call 997-0227.
