This week the Methow Valley News is teaming with the Methow Valley School District to introduce the Mountain Lion of the Week program, which will recognize not only athleticism but, more importantly, outstanding personal traits that permeate our school and community. One current student-athlete, between grades seven through 12, will be recognized each week.
The Mountain Lion of the Week is Eden Davis, a tenth-grader at Liberty Bell High School and member of the basketball team. He has consistently been an outstanding ambassador of Mountain Lion athletics. Eden displays characteristics on and off the court that teachers, coaches, and other students admire.
Eden challenges himself in class and has courageously taken on difficult projects and public speaking. He is intellectually curious and puts forth his best effort on everything he does. On top of that, Eden is deeply respectful of his peers and of his teachers.
