Winter Wonder at The Merc
The Merc Playhouse in Twisp will stage Winter Wonder II, Holidays in the Methow — a reprise of last year’s holiday production with all-new material — on two weekends in December.
The show will run Dec. 4 – 6 and Dec. 9 – 12, and will feature poems, stories, live music, dance and sketches, all performed by local residents. It is directed by Meghan Sullivan and Missi Smith.
Performance times are 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Cost is $5 for ages 18 and under, and $15 for adults. Wednesday, Dec. 9, is pay-what-you-can night.

Second City brings its holiday revue
Chicago’s legendary Second City comedy club will bring its “Holidazed and Confused Revue” to the Methow Valley with a Dec. 5 appearance at the Winthrop Barn sponsored by Methow Arts.
Second City alumni include Tina Fey, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Joan Rivers, Steve Carrel and many others.
The show, which is for ages 21 and up, begins at 7 p.m. All attendees will be seated at a table for four. Individual tickets are $40. There are three table options: $250 for four seats in the front row; $200 for four seats in rows 2 – 3; and $160 for four seats farther back.

Jammin’ Against Hunger
The Associated Students of Wenatchee Valley College at Omak present the tenth annual Jammin’ Against Hunger concert on Friday (Nov. 20) at the Okanogan Grange Hall from 7 – 11 p.m. Admission is five cans of non-perishable, unexpired food. The event raises food contributions for local food banks each year. Featured entertainer is Chicago-based blues-rock guitarist Keith Scott. Local band Cristina Del Rosario and the Northern Soul will also perform rhythm and blues, vintage soul and danceable grooves. Food will be available for purchase. Children’s Dance Theater ballet in Omak
The Children’s Dance Theater of Okanogan County will present Sleeping Beauty on Dec. 4, 5 and 6 at the Omak Performing Arts Center. Methow Valley dance students will be performing in the ballet.
