The Twisp Town Council will wait until January to select a new council member to fill the seat held by Traci Day, who recently resigned from the board.
A replacement would only fill the remaining two months of Day’s term, which expires at the end of this year. The council would then have to reappoint someone in January for the new term.
Day’s name remained on the November election ballot, although she decided to resign after declaring her candidacy and said she would not accept the position if elected.
The council decided last week that it will accept letters of interest from citizens who want to serve on the council, and will conduct interviews in January.
