Combinado Argentino de Danza, a contemporary dance company based in Buenos Aires, will bring its lively show — including Argentine folkloric dance mixed with hip-hop, beat box, a DJ and breakdance — to the Winthrop Barn on Friday (Oct. 30) at 7 p.m.
Formed in 2011 by dancers, musicians, a DJ, beat boxer, and percussionist the group combines diverse genres including contemporary, hip-hop, and traditional Argentinean folkloric dance under the direction of Andrea Servera.
Archaruli, conga, merignue, pole, polka, waltz, tango, salsa, reggaeton, jazz, tap dancing and breakdancing are just a few types of dances Combinado Argentino de Danza performs. The group has appeared at shows around the world.
Tickets are: $25 for reserved seats; $17 in advance or $20 at the door for adults; $10 for students ages 15 – 18; and $5 for students under 15.
