Methow Valley Senior Center
Notes

We have been busy planning the Veterans Day Lunch. It was originally planned for Wednesday, Nov. 11. Then, due to the planned PUD power outage on that day, we were scrambling to get everything rescheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 10. All changes have been made and are in place for the lunch. The Methow Valley Senior Citizens are honored to be sponsoring this lunch for our veterans at the community center in Twisp. All veterans are invited to attend and bring a guest. The program will begin at 11 a.m. with presentation of colors by the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 120. Music will be provided by Hank Cramer and Rob Thran. Lunch will be served at noon. If you are a veteran, please join us and pass the word to other veterans you know. This is our way of thanking you for your service to our country.

The Thrift Store is open on Saturdays during Farmers Market hours. The shop is also open Monday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m. The Senior Center is located next to the Methow Valley Community Center on Highway 20 in Twisp. Lunch is served at noon by the Okanogan County Transportation and Nutrition Program on Monday, Thursday and Friday. The suggested donation for lunch is $3.50 for seniors over age 60; the cost is $8 for those under 60. Annual membership dues are $1.25.

Transportation is available locally for the senior lunch program, and for monthly trips to Omak/Okanogan the second Tuesday of the month and to Wenatchee the third Tuesday of the month. Call the Senior Center at 997-7722 for additional details.
