Well, if nothing else we have proven to be entertaining. So we were told by a lady from Canada. Four of us were trying to put a Halloween costume on the mannequin, which is not an easy task – you have to take her arms off, stuff them in the sleeves, and then try to get them back on the body. Anyway, after 15 minutes of wrestling her into her costume, we got the task done, with a lot of laughs from customers — and us.
Speaking of costumes, there are still plenty left in the sale room.

Some of our snowbirds are flying south already. We will miss you until spring.
On Nov. 1, the Christmas Sale starts setting up. Can you believe it’s that time already? The bazaar is on Nov. 21, and we start our sale then.
One of our dancers from Okanogan passed away at 103. He was coming over for every dance at age 102. Eary Hawkins is now dancing away in heaven.
The Thrift Store is open on Saturdays during Farmers Market hours. The shop is also open Monday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
The Senior Center is located next to the Methow Valley Community Center on Highway 20 in Twisp. Lunch is served at noon by the Okanogan County Transportation and Nutrition Program on Monday, Thursday and Friday. The suggested donation for lunch is $3.50 for seniors over age 60; the cost is $8 for those under 60. Annual membership dues are $1.25.
Transportation is available locally for the senior lunch program, and for monthly trips to Omak/Okanogan the second Tuesday of the month and to Wenatchee the third Tuesday of the month. Call the Senior Center at 997-7722 for additional details.
