Fire extinguisher roundup
Methow Recycles is coordinating with Northwest Fire and Mechanical to provide options for recharging or recycling your expired fire extinguishers. Call Dennis Johnson at (206) 817-7997 to make an appointment for a recharge. A $10-$25 fee will apply. If an expired extinguisher has a plastic head it is not rechargeable and needs to be replaced. Bring your fire extinguishers to Methow Recycles by Oct. 31, and the old chemicals will be moved and the cylinder will be recycled at no charge. Watch the sale flyers from local hardware stores as many have fire extinguishers on sale in October.
