See art in the making this weekend (Sept. 19 and 20) when 27 artists in 18 studios throughout the Methow Valley open their doors to the public.
Artists will provide demonstrations of works in process along with finished art works for sale. Participating artists include painters, fiber and textile artists, ceramicists, woodworkers, photographers, jewelers, metal workers, clothing designers, print artists, and mixed media artists.
The annual Artist’s Studio Tour is sponsored by Methow Arts Alliance and Confluence Gallery and will be held from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Artists include Cheryl Wrangle, Don McIvor, Elizabeth Drake, Ginger Reddington, Jae Cremin, Jerry Merz, Jillian Lukiwski, Joanne Marracci, Katie Swanson, Laura Gunnip, Robin Doggett, Mary Kiesau, Matt Armbrust, Nancy Daniels, Nicole Ringgold, Patrick Hannigan, Paula Christen, Rich Davis, Rick Swanson, Robert Nelson, Robin Nelson Wicks, Rod Weagant, Salyna Gracie, Sara Ashford, Sarah Jo Lightner, Steve Love, Sue Marracci and Tori Karpenko.
Tickets are $10-$20 on a sliding scale, and all ticket sales benefit local nonprofit artist programs. Ticket purchasers will receive a wristband for the tour and a detailed map to each studio location. Tickets are available at TwispWorks’ Glitter and Grit studio.
