Yoga for Room One
“Methow Global Mala,” which will combine yoga, meditation, chanting and breathing exercises led by local yoga instructors, will be offered on Sept. 19 at the Methow Valley Community Center from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.. A $10 donation is suggested, and all proceeds will go to Room One. For more information, call 997-0560.
Forest restoration discussion
“Thinning and the Future of the Forest” will be the topic of a panel presentation and community discussion on the use of thinning for forest restoration on the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest and nearby private lands, at Twisp Valley Grange on Sept. 22. The free event, sponsored by the National Forest Foundation and North Central Washington Forest Health Collaborative, begins at 6 p.m. Panelists will include landowners, and representatives from The Wilderness Society and Vaagen Brothers Lumber.
